Summit Rubber Company is a third-generation operated, family-owned custom rubber and silicone molding business based in Summerville, South Carolina. The company was started by John P. Singleton in 1983 after a successful career with leading rubber manufacturing companies in Texas and Ohio. The first products manufactured by Summit were windshield wiper blades, but the company was quickly forced to diversify its product offerings as the windshield wiper blade business was absorbed by the Chinese market.
Summit Rubber converted to custom molded rubber products including anti-fatigue matting, recycled rubber products, and rubber gaskets. The shift in product offerings was a positive one as Summit Rubber is known for custom solutions with exceptional quality and customer service. The company’s current capabilities include custom rubber and silicone molding, mold design and sourcing, die cut services, chlorination, bonding, and overmolding.
